President & CEO
John Roesch started his career 35 years ago at the age of 15 when his brother Mike bought Stuyvesant Press. He worked part- time, and would ride his bike several miles from his high school to Stuyvesant in Irvington. Learning to run letterpress machines gave him a strong basic knowledge of printing in his first few years. In high school, he studied offset, film making and typography which gave him a broader spectrum of the printing industry. Upon graduation from Elizabeth High School in 1980, he began full-time at Stuyvesant Press. He continued his studies, taking night courses, at Kean University where he furthered his education in printing. He first learned how to run four-color process on a Chief 22 and Heidelberg one-color SOR. He advanced to four-color and six-color presses where he honed and mastered his skills. Today, John manages Stuyvesant Press, Inc. and continues to stay educated in the ever changing industry of printing.
